Land for sale in Michigan? Absolutely! I have a whole list of lots you can tour. First, answer this question: What do you know about purchasing lots? I’d like to help you understand the types of specs and things to look at when inspecting acreage. First, you will notice that zoning is a big deal and you need to check whether it’s commercial business, income, or a residence.
Here’s 6 things that everybody ought to know about land purchases: when you search for available lots that meet your criteria, make sure you understand the following or ask me and we can discuss it. For instance, you need to know about an active sewer line, exact property lines or boundaries, full property address (as this can vary), flood map, flood insurance, and correct lot dimensions.
We will need to talk! What are 4 other types of criteria that you need to know about? Type of road surface (gravel, for example), whether there is presently unknown or known soil types on the premise (I.e. sandy loam); terms of sale (conventional loan, cash only, land contract); is there an accurate parcel number which can be verified through the townships’ assessor's office? Don’t worry, this is something that I will call and take care of for you, that is my job as a realtor!
What types of buildings can you build and on what lots? Keep in mind there may be restrictions especially if you are purchasing multiple pieces of land in different locations or on different streets. For instance, some land is build-able only for residential property and does not allow pole barns, stalls, or farms. Of course there are always exceptions to this rule and horse properties are in their own special category.
